Remi's Ridge at Hidden Falls Wedding | Amanda & Ben
I still remember our first conversation over a year ago when Amanda was still in Japan. As we discussed about her wedding, her relationship with Ben and her family, I quickly realized how unique and interesting their story was. I wanted to photograph their wedding!
Amanda and Ben are both in the Army. They stationed in Japan. And that's how they met. Amanda was looking for an apartment to move in. And the apartment she found was the one which Ben was moving out of! As Ben showed her the apartment, they became friends and started hanging out more often.
2 weeks in, Ben officially appeared on Amanda's instagram as she described how much fun this new friend was! And the flame had started in the most natural way it possibly could as these two soldiers spent more time together.
Though the excitement and loving phase had just begun, Ben prepared to move back to the U.S for school. The long distance relationship began.
When Amber (Amanda's sister) shared this story with me, I admired their love even more. Because long distance relationship is challenging and never easy. But they made it work!
As Amanda flew to the U.S for a wedding, she united with Ben. The first Christmas they spent together, they met the families. The warm welcoming from both sides had brought so much love to this young couple. And they knew at that moment, this is the big family they have always wanted.
July 2020, Amanda moved back to the U.S for school, however they were still in long distance relationship since Ben resided in Washington. When Amanda and I discussed about her engagement session, we decided to have their session in Washington when she visited Ben so that it would be easier for everyone. October 2020, we flew in Washington to meet up with Amanda and Ben for their engagement session, and let me tell you it was the most epic engagement session we have ever done! Fast forward, the original wedding date was moved due to COVID. Though, it was the best day ever. The weather was perfect. The new Venue, Remi's Ridge at Hidden Falls was absolutely beautiful. Having the ceremony with the water falls in the back ground? it was a dream!

It was a day full of emotions for everyone who attended this important event to celebrate for Amanda and Ben. I could not wish for more but prosperity and happiness to you two!!
