HOW IT ALL STARTED

Addison Woods is owned by the Woods Family and served as a family residence for over three generations. In the past, the property where Addison Woods is located has been used as a working farm and a feed store. In fact, Woods Feed Store still exists today, under new management at a different location in Shenandoah and is still a staple in our community. Not only was the land used for farming, but coincidentally many family events, including weddings outdoors under the beautiful oak trees.

The venue space is designed by the Woods family to capture the property’s history and charm. Built on family values, Addison Woods ensures the hospitality and personal connection any wedding or event needs. Perfectly designed for weddings, showers, private parties, business meetings and more, we hope to spend your next celebration or meeting with you at Addison Woods. The setting is sublime, the scenery is pristine, and all that is missing in this memory is you.

The master minds behind Addison Woods - The Woods Family

Cody and Kady Jaeger (daughter of Kathy and Addison Woods) were inspired to open a venue in the heart of their hometown, creating a family legacy for years to come. It was Cody’s idea to open a wedding venue after having difficulty finding one in the Houston market that had unique features which stood out to him. After attending many weddings which tended to overlook the groom’s experience, he could envision something that would really “wow” both the groom and bride. The Woods family was on board and by combining Kady’s experience in sales and marketing with Cody’s experience in hospitality, Addison Woods Wedding & Event Venue was born.

Kady is no stranger to weddings and events; with her husband, she ran a successful event staffing and photo booth business, before moving to California for her job in sales. Her roles in sales and customer service have taken her overseas, spending her most recent years working in Paris. Having lived in The Woodlands for 18 years, she has seen the North Houston suburb grow into what is often touted as “One of The Best Cities To Live In America.”

When not at the venue, Kady spends her free time exploring local fitness studios and playing with her dog, Stella. When you come visit Addison Woods, Stella will be the friend greeter. If you are happy with her "service", you can tip her a treat or a rub on her belly, she would be extremely happy! Kady and the family knows the community well and is excited to debut a venue located in the heart of this beautiful town. Did I mention about Cooper? He is the newest addition to the management team and just turned one, he is the resident heartbreak and Mr Steal Your Girl lol.
